Get Answers to Your Banking Questions

My lender ordered an appraisal or evaluation for my first lien mortgage on my primary dwelling. Can I get a copy of my appraisal or evaluation and, if so, when? How will it be delivered to me?

Your lender must provide you with a copy of your appraisal and any other written valuation promptly upon its completion or no later than three business days before closing, whichever is earlier. Your lender may provide the appraisal or evaluation to you by mail, electronically (for example, by e-mail), or in person. Some lenders may request that you waive the timing requirement, in which case the appraisal or evaluation may be provided to you at or before closing.
